We will have an exhibition about the life and work of Sr. Hallgrím Pétursson, a psalmist whose first priesthood was in Hvalsnes from 1644 – 1651 and where his daughter Steinunn was born but died at the age of almost 4 and he got  a tombstone with her name made but that stone was lost until 1964 when it was found and is now on display in the churchand is considered the most significant artefact of the church, the church was consecrated in 1887.
